The History of Hotel Eckartauerhof
Constructed in 1963 by the Eberharter siblings as a guest house with a bowling alley and guest rooms, Michael and Anna Eberharter took over the "bowling alley" in 1969.
Michael has been managing the guest house since 1984 together with his daughter Viktoria.
The house underwent its first major conversion in 1987 which expanded the house to its current size.
Further renovations and improvements (constructing a whirlpool and sauna, extension of the attic floor, etc.) have been made to change the house to fit the times.
In 1999, after Viktoria and Simon Schneeberger took over, the bowling alley was closed and a new larger conversion went underway to create disabled-adapted guest rooms.
The sauna area in our hotel was completely renovated in 2006 and the entrance area was redesigned one year later. The conservatory was completely renovated in 2008. As part of this work, the terrace was also converted to provide direct access to the garden. Some of the rooms were renovated in 2010.
Two years later, we also gave our restaurant a new lease of life and changed all of the upholstery in the restaurant area. We are continually working to adapt our house to current standards so that we can create a comfortable atmosphere for our guests.
We, the Schneeberger Family, would like to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible!
